At Carrickfergus Model, children enjoy a wide variety of topics in Science and Technology, History and Geography based on the four themes of Interdependence, Place, Movement and Energy and Change Over Time.
The children have a chance to develop their knowledge through stimulating exploration of a topic through Literacy, UICT, Art and STEM. Hands on learning is provided by listening to visitors, going on a wide variety of trips and our famous ‘Model Topic Experience Days.’

Shared Education
At Carrick Model we work very closely with our Shared Education partners St. Nicholas Primary School and Sunnylands Primary School. These relationships between staff and pupils have spanned many years as children have learned and socialized together. Children meet at school or the local area.
